Esther's story

Esther K. is thirty-nine-years-old. She is married and has given birth to three children: one daughter and two sons. She says one of her children is in the junior high school while the others are in primary school. She says she lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a farming/commercial town called Achiase, near Akim Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Esther works to support her husband financially to provide for the family.

Esther is a trader. She runs a provision shop in the market square and sells footwear as well. She procures her goods from wholesalers in Oda and other nearby towns. Esther has been in business for over ten years and desires to expand her business.

Esther is hopeful to sponsor all her children to the university level.
