A loan of $1,100 helped to stock her store with pagne cloth.

Akossiwa's story

Akossiwa K. sells pagnes (colorful West African cloth) at the grand market of Lomé. She has been in this business for five years. She is 37 years old, married, and the mother of three. Pagnes occupy a significant portion of clothing manufacture for the people of Togo. Such is the reason why the demand remains very high. To address the growing need, Akossiwa would like to use this loan to resupply herself with pagnes.
