Together We Tinap Group's story

Here we see Abdul K., Adamsay S., Isatu F., Aminata K., Augusta S. and Susan S.. They are members of a loan group called Together We Tinap. They have applied for their third loan from SMT/Kiva. Their previous loans have had a huge impact on the lives of these entrepreneurs. Having repaid those loans successfully and on time, they are requesting a new loan to increase the size and quality of their businesses, make greater profits and improve their standards of living.

Abdul (second from left) is the leader of this group. He is 35 years of age and was born in Makeni City, northern Sierra Leone. He is married to a businesswoman and they have three children, all of whom are still in school. Abdul makes a living selling plastic slippers in Makeni. With this loan, he will be able to increase his stock of items to sell. This will bring many positive changes by providing his family with food, clothes to wear, the ability to go to school and so on.
