A loan helped to buy new machines and to improve her production (sewing clothes) to cover her demand, and in this way to generate better income for her family.

Nancy's story

Nancy is 26 years old. She lives in a rural community, far from the urban area. She took some courses to learn how to sew casual and sports clothing, and she completed her training by FAUTAPO at the basic technical level. She has two years of experience in this business. For this reason, she needs the loan to buy new machines and to improve her production (sewing) since she has a great demand for this type of clothing, and in this way improve her income. She studied to be able to progress and in this way to improve her family's life condition.
Also, Nancy works together with her husband in agriculture, in the production of onions, string beans and tomatoes to help with household expenses and be able to support two children and pay for school expenses. Nancy is beloved in her community for being a devoted mother to her family, and respectful to those in her community.
