A loan of $650 helped purchase of wool for textiles and fertilizer for farming.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 48 years old, and has 7 children, although one passed away and 2 now live independently. With an attentive gaze and full concentration she knits and crochets skirts, hats, jackets, etc. She has spent most of her life doing this, and what gives her the greatest pleasure is that it's very profitable and she has made regular clients. When it's harvest time, she helps her husband with his farm duties, and once gathered, she prepares the crops before putting them in a storehouse until they can later be sorted by size. Once this process is finished, her husband borrows a car in order to transport the merchandise to the city, and Victoria takes advantage of this opportunity to bring her textiles and sell them in the market. Thanks to her skill in her trade, she can make enough money for her personal needs. Even when she takes her animals out to graze, she's knitting. Even when she is walking to their farm, she continues knitting. Even during meetings with her local bank, she's there, busy knitting. This is her 5th loan with MFP, and she has always shown herself to be punctual with her payments. With part of the money that she's asking for, she will buy chemical fertilizers for the hectare of potatoes that she and her husband just planted, and with the other part she will buy skeins of yarn of different colors which she will use for her textiles.
