A loan of $400 helped purchase merchandise.

Santusa's story

Santusa is a single mother. She is 46 years old and lives in her own home with her four children: Glenda (22 years old), Paola (19), Anais (18), and Diego (11). Her children are the driving force behind all her efforts and sacrifices. Santusa has a stall in the Santa Bárbara market in the city of Juliaca. She sells all sorts of things, but her main source of income is from selling a variety of vegetables. Her stall is one of the busiest ones in the market, since the vegetables she sells are very delicious and offered at a very affordable price. The hardest thing for Santusa is to stay in her stall all day, trying to stave off the intense frio there inside. She's been working at this for 10 years, and what she likes most is talking to her customers, which makes her long workdays more enjoyable. Santusa hopes to improve her business and be able to offer her customers a wider variety of products, and increase her income. This is her second loan with MFP, and she plans to make all her payments on time, as she did with her first loan. She is very beloved among the members of her community bank, since she's always concerned abut her partners' wellbeing. She plans to use the money requested to increase the quantity of merchandise available at her market stall.
