Ta Nyin Kone Village Group 1's story

Featured borrower, Shwe (picture in the middle), from Ta Nyin Kone Group village, is married with two children. His dream is to have support to obtain a University degree from the Government University. The family has been in the duck farming business for five years.

Pictured above are members from Ta Nyin Kone village group, named Shwe, Sein, Thein and Shan. This loan will help 30 villagers to purchase additional ducks and high quality animal feed. Villagers have many years of duck-raising experience, and they are hoping to expand their business and to increase the duck production rates in the future.

Duck raisers need to make sure that their ducks’ egg production rate has been increasing. There are over 800 residents in this village which is located in Irrawaddy Delta Region in Myanmar, where majority of the villagers' business is farming and fishing. Duck raising has recently become very popular in the rural areas in Myanmar.
