A loan of $975 helped to purchase wood and gallons of oil.

Pura's story

Pura belongs to the "Virgen del Rosario" communal bank. She lives in the El Porvenir settlement, Bellavista District, San Martin Department. She has a life partner, is 35 years old, and has two children, both of whom are still dependent on her. She and her husband began with an initial loan of 500 soles which they used to begin a business consisting in the manufacture and sale of bricks. She currently is involved in the same activity and offers her product to public and private institutions which are her main customers. She has been working with the bank for 4 years. This 3000 sol loan, which will be repaid in 6 monthly installments, will be used to buy wood and oil used in the firing of the bricks as well as steel molds used to mass produce the bricks. She feels proud to be able to contribute to the economic well-being of her family and to see herself develop as a woman and as a businesswoman. Pura is happy for the great help that Manuela Ramos gives her since it is thanks to the NGO that she has been able to get ahead in her business and is doing very well.
