Las Ceresas De Agua Escondida Group's story

Nicolasa is a hard-working, friendly and disciplined person. She is 38 years old, married, and has a beautiful family of six children ranging in ages from 3 to 20 years old. Her beloved family lives in a community in Sololá.

To earn income and help her family make ends meet, Nicolasa (second from the left in the green blouse) has been selling corn by the quintal [large sack] for ten years. Her business is located in one of the main streets of her community. With a lot of effort, she and her husband have started construction of their house, but to date have not been able to finish it because money has been scarce. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to buy construction materials like cement, sand and gravel to finish building their house so that her family will have better living conditions. She has complete confidence in this loan and has hopes that this investment will change their lives.
