A loan helped to pay for her fashion design education, and to become a businesswoman.

Guadalupe Lucila's story

Guadalupe is a young student at Senati who is living with her parents. Her mother is a housewife and her father works temporary as a builder. Their income is low, which makes it difficult for Guadalupe to continue with her studies. She is the youngest daughter.

Guadalupe decided to study fashion design because she likes everything related to the textile world. Before studying at Senati, she followed short courses on garment making which made her wish to investigate a bit more on this career path.

Currently she has been studying at Senati for two years, therefore she only needs to complete one more year to complete it. She is doing well in her studies, she studies during the afternoon and part of the evening, so she dedicates 20 hours per week to it.

Due to the difficult situation that her family is going through, she runs the risk to stop studying when she is so close to finish her education. This is the reason why she is requesting the support from Kiva so that she can finish her degree which she likes so much and she can become a businesswoman to support financially her family, which has given so much for her in spite of the difficulties that have appeared (money, health).

Due to the support from Kiva to Guadalupe, she would like to say few lines of appreciation: "Thanks for your big support, because without knowing me you will allow me to finish my education, which is my biggest dream in the short term. Thanks to you, youngsters like me, with financial problems, have the hope to believe that unknown people are ready to support us so we can grow professionally. Thanks Kiva for everything!".
