Alexa Doris's story

Alexa Doris belongs to the Virgen del Rosario Community Bank. She lives in Jr. Apolonia S/Nº, El Porvenir village, Bellavista district, San Martín department. She lives with her partner, is 30 years old and is mother to three children, all of whom depend on her. With the support of her parents, she started her business selling juices and snacks in the central market with an investment of 800 soles with which she ordered scaffolding for the the construction of tables and stools.

With this loan of 2,000 soles, which will be repaid in six months, she will purchase fruit such as papayas, hundreds of oranges, boxes of apples, and bunches of bananas, as well as necessities such as glasses, jars, small plates, spoons, containers of different sizes and ingredients for the preparation of her juices such as algarrobina syrup, bee honey, as well as for the preparation of her snacks like cakes, empanadas, and stuffed potatoes. She tells us that today, thanks to the support of Manuela Ramos, she feels very content with what she does. She is responsible with her payments and with her daily tasks. In the future, she wishes to establish her juice store in a bigger, more centrally located space.
