A loan of $975 helped purchase of fertilizers.

Hermenegildo's story

Hermenegildo is 55, is married, and had 12 children, although 5 of them have passed away. He now lives with one of them. Since his childhood he has worked in agriculture. Through this work, he was able to educate all of his children and offer well-being to his family. But what he never could control were the occasional plagues caused by a lot of rain. As a consequence, he told us he is sad because his potato crop has been affected. Now his production won't be as good as he thought, so his sadness has made his normally bright eyes cloudy. Hermenegildo will cut the leaves of his potatoes with the help of his wife to avoid losing his entire crop. Once he harvests them, he will sell them as seeds. He hopes to be quoted a good price so he can cover the educational expenses of his youngest son, who helps him with his agricultural work. Hermenegildo is very responsible, not only with his payments to Microfinanzas Prisma, but also with each one of his agreements with his communal bank. This is his seventh loan. The money that he is requesting will go towards chemical fertilizers for his next planting of potatoes and peas.
