A loan of $425 helped raising and selling of cattle.

Kholmat's story

Kholmat is a 53-year-old man, married and the father of five children. He buys, sells and raises cattle. His wife spins yarn and sells it at the market. Their sons also help on the farm, while their daughters-in-law keep house. They have a very large family with many needs. They fatten the cattle for market, and once every two months butcher a head of small-horned cattle for themselves. Sometimes they slaughter a head of large-horned cattle and sell the meat to the butchers. That's how they earn a living.
