A loan of $225 helped to buy candies, biscuits, cans of milk, sardines, tomatoes, sugar, pasta, soaps, etc.

Justine's story

Justine C. was born on September 26, 1963. She's married to Jonas COUAO ZOTTI, and the mother of four school-attending children. Justine sells various products (candies, biscuits, cans of milk, sardines, tomatoes, sugar, pasta, laundry detergents, dish washing detergents, soaps, etc). She buys the products in DANTOKPA, an international marketplace in Benin. Aiming to diversify her business and to bolster her working capital, Justine is seeking a loan from Kiva's partner, Alidé.

Alidé means “there is always a path for the poorest” in Benin’s local language of Fon. Benin is a small West African country located next to Nigeria and has a per capita GDP of $1,500.
