Azra's story

Azra is a 25-year-old mother of two children. She lives with her spouse and children in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Her husband is a green grocer by profession, and he has been selling fresh fruits at a shop in a nearby town for many years. Her husband offers seasonal and fresh fruits to his customers. He has been feeding his family through the income generated from this fruit shop.

Now, the needs of his family have suddenly increased, and he does not have other sources of income to meet these needs. So, he decided to expand his current business. He wants to increase his stock on a daily basis so that he can maximize his fruit sales. Therefore, his wife, Azra, requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for her husband to buy excess seasonal fruits. Azra thanks Kiva and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
