A loan helped a member to buy baby fish and food for them.

Muong Phang 48 Group's story

Mrs. Le, 53, is a Thai ethnic woman who currently lives with her husband and her adult daughter in a Thai ethnic traditional stilt house at a small, remote village. Her family relies on agricultural production with several activities such as growing rice, breeding fish, buffalo, chickens, and pigs.

She has always wanted to increase production, so she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to have enough capital to invest in farming and animal husbandry. This is the fourth time that she has received a loan from the program, and she will use the loan to buy baby fish and food for them. She hopes that the fish will grow fast and healthily, then bring good income for her family.

Mrs. Le dreams that her family will soon escape from poverty and have a more abundant life. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
