Margret's story

Margret is a fifty-six-year-old widowed woman living in Masindi-Uganda. For two years she has been running a retail shop that sells general merchandise. After her husband’s death, her son advised her to start the retail shop business so as to have some money for maintaining her living and for the family at large. She begun by selling charcoal and used her savings to start her retail business. She also gets income from the charcoal business. Inadequate capital is still a challenge in her business but she dreams of building a house. She needs a loan to buy sugar, salt and sodas to sell.
