A loan helped a member to buy embroidery raw materials for decorating wedding dresses.

Asma's Group's story

Asma is a 27 years-old married woman living in the area of Multan, Pakistan. She is a mother of four children, all of them attending school. In the photo, Asma is the lady standing, who is raising the hand and the other is Parveen.

Her husband owns an electrical workshop. Asma has been running her own embroidery business for 8 years to help meet the household expenses. Her embroidery business is very famous in the city and that is the reason her business runs well. Due to good relations with clients, her business has increased.

She wants to meet the demand for bridal dresses. That is why she wants to buy threads, fancy cloths, sequins, and pearls of various colours in advance, to have in stock. She requires some capital to buy the desired items but does not have sufficient cash on hand.

Therefore, Asma humbly requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan. Through this loan, she will be able to buy everything that she needs.

Asma and Parveen will be thankful to Kiva lenders and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.
