A loan of $650 helped buy parts for televisions, radios and computers.

Marivel's story

Marivel belongs to the “Las Victorias” Communal Bank. She lives at Jr. La Merced Nº 931 – La Merced, Juanjui district, San Martín department. She is married, 36 years old, and mother of 2 children who are still dependent upon her.

With her first loan for S/.1,300.00 she decided to start her own business and she began to make clothing in her own home.

Today she buys and sells parts for small electrical domestic appliances. Her business is located in an air conditioned room in her home. Her main clients are her friends and neighbors. She also works with some institutions.

With the loan for S/2,000.00, which will be repaid for 6 months, she will buy more television parts, radios, dvs, computers, and supplies that will allow her to service her customers with quality and efficiency.

She and her husband make the purchasing and earnings decisions together. She feels more assured in offering her products; she considers herself a hardworking woman, steady and responsible with her loan payments.

Marival expresses her thanks to Manuela Ramos for allowing her to grow as a business entrepreneur and woman.
