A loan helped purchase bags of organic fertilizer.

Jorge's story

Jorge is 49 years old and a very responsible man. He lives together with his wife Vilma. With her, he has 3 children of which he takes care on the estate that he inherited 10 years ago. His wish to study animal breeding at the university grew out of his closeness he had with the land where he was born.

Today, working as an engineer, he spends his time on the estate he inherited from his parents: “There are many hectors of agricultural soil where I plant alfalfa, corn, oranges and other citrus fruits. I also grow guinea pigs, pigs, chickens, bulls, horses and bees which give me a sweet honey. I enjoy the countryside”, he says. This is why he spends his time improving his crops and breeding his animals. He is constantly travelling because he is selling his produce to different companies in the back country. He also independently carries out sanitation projects and improvements in animal breeding with the various agricultural villages on his land: “I have to offer them the agricultural knowledge that I have. It is vital for progress”, he concludes.

This is his third loan from MFP. He is very thankful for the support he has received all this time.

Furthermore, he promises to be on time with the payment of instalments since his main character trait is being punctual and respectful.

Jorge will invest the money in the purchase of a number of bags of organic fertilizer for his sowing of alfalfa. And if the money suffices, he will also buy medicine to ensure the health of his animals.
