Ingrid is 33 years old and works in the city of Barranquilla, selling merchandise through specialized catalogs or her client's catalogs. She purchases underwear and other clothing and goes to her neighbors directly to sell them merchandise and between them distribute paid credits in installments that can be adjusted to different situations. She works every day for 10 hours because she is separated from her husband and has two children who are 16 and 10 years old, making her the head of her household and so she has to be responsible for her home. It was only a year ago she started this business because she needed to be closer to her children but also earn an income. Today, Ingrid is asking for a loan in order to purchase more catalog products that she offers in order to sell more and increase her earnings. Her dreams are very simple: generate enough growth in her business in order to earn more. This will allow her to take care of the well being of her family, take care of her children and save more money. One day, Ingrid, like so many people in the world, wants to have an opportunity to buy her own house. Even though she finds herself facing many challenges in life, like being alone and having the responsibility of taking care of her house and children, Ingrid also continues working and saving and with the help of Kiva she is improving her quality of life and that of her family.
