A loan helped to buy fodder for her dairy cows.

Lidia's story

Sra. Lidia is 29 years old and lives in the town of Chaupi Suyu in Sipe Sipe Province, which is approximately 22 km from the city of Cochabamba. She manages a milk production business. Lidia is a single mother with a one-year-old daughter. She lives with her mother and her siblings.

Lidia is responsible for her siblings and her mother since her father passed away 10 years ago. Since she is the oldest child, Lidia has worked from a very young age. When she was 12 years old, Lidia went to work in the city of Santa Cruz as a housekeeper. She sent money home to her mother so that her siblings could have a better life. Lidia returned home four years ago and afterwards had her daughter. Sadly, she was not married and the father of her child abandoned her when she became pregnant. Lidia decided to buy cows so that she could have her own milk production business. Now that she is a mother, Lidia says that she is not able to travel to other cities with her daughter because she now works long hours. She dreams that her daughter will have a better future than the one she and her siblings had.

Lidia is requesting a loan to buy fodder in order to provide for the diet of her animals so that they will increase milk production. She is a hardworking and responsible person.
