Talya Kandyce's story

Señora Talya is a member of Las Colinas Community Bank in Yarinacocha District, in the department of Ucayali. She is 31 years old, married, and has two children. Her husband is a teacher. Talya runs a well-stocked store from her house. She's worked with Manuela Ramos for two years. When she has to leave the house to buy merchandise, one of her sisters takes over in the store.

With her new loan of S/.2,000, she will buy two cartons of Pampers diapers, five packages of toilet paper, a box of canned food, a box of milk, a box of Nescafe coffee, a sack of sugar, a sack of rice, two crates of soft drinks, a box of cookies, a box of batteries, a package of candles, and a container of salt. With these products, she will better stock her store. Tayla is always on the look out for what is missing in her store so she can offer a greater variety of items to her customers. She will have more time to look after her small children and to take care of household matters.

Talya is grateful to Manuela Ramos for the loans she has received and hopes to continue working with this organization that brings so much support to working women.
