I am a single mom of 5 in Denver, Colorado born and raised who has always thrived and taught my kids that the sky's the limit. I have worked many years in the medical industry and started doing a few things for friends and family like planning events, designing and providing concept. I found that this is a passion and no longer a hobby. Finally in May of 2021, I decided it was time to go for a passion instead of a JOB. I received my accreditation from IWED for Event Design, Luxury Event Design and Luxury Florals and Balloons. I also continued my training for Event planning and management with QC event planning In January of 2022. On February 4, 2022 Beyond Lavish Weddings & Events LLC was finally open for business.
I am passionate about what the eye can see and the essence that a special day should have. I want to be able to provide a one-stop shop for the community that will include event space and several options for design and other necessary add On's to bring ambience and a stress-free experience to their special day. I was raised by a single mom and because of that I am strong minded and when I see something I want there is no choice but to chase after it. I am now the example to my children that yes women can, and yes minorities can!

I am the owner and operator of Beyond Lavish Weddings & Events LLC; we specialize in events of all kinds from corporate meetings to weddings. We provide the full planning and design concept or just the services you require to make your special day stress free and memorable. We currently come to your space to set up your event and provide planning in our off-site shared business office with office space reservations to meet.
During Covid seeing loved ones get sick and having the possibility of losing those around me made me realize I no longer wanted to work for someone else and provide my time and energy into something that has no passion or reward at the end of the day. I want to be an inspiration to other black woman and provide something in the community that will inspire as well as provide employment options to the community and exposure to other small business owners with collaborations and preferred vendors lists.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I am applying for this loan so that we can secure the rental of an actual Brick & Mortar location that will be a one stop shop for all things events. We would like to be able to do the necessary buildout that will be required such as floors, drywall, bringing the facility to ADA standards, painting, sound, lighting, visual equipment and implementation of security staff.
We will also be able to furnish the space with the basics for the space such as chairs, tables, linens and lighting. The goal is to have growth in revenue and working capital so that in the next 6 years we can acquire another space to have a chain of event spaces in the state.

"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.
