A loan helped a member to buy 10 bags of charcoal, which will increase her stock.

Ebenezer Group's story

Mme Cessile is a member of Hekima MFI and president of the village group "EBENEZER". She is married, 45, and has 4 children who are all in school. Her husband is unemployed.

She is a seller of charcoal and started this business 5 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business which then gradually improved. With this new loan, she will buy 10 bags of charcoal, which will increase her stock. The challenge facing her business is lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue their education and be able to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to business owners without access to conventional banking facilities in this global crisis related to covid-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group because of covid-19 social distancing measures.
