A loan helped a member to stock up on corn, beans and cassava flour, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Songambele Sg Group's story

Madam Shamwesi is a client of Hekima and presides over the "Songambele SG" group. She is 39 years old and a widow, as well as the mother of five children, which are all school-age.

Shamwesi is a vendor of foodstuffs, which she sells in a depot. She began her business 10 years ago with the financial backing of her late husband. Later on, she partnered with Hekima in order to support her business, which has grown progressively.

With this new loan she plans to stock up on corn, beans, and cassava beans, which will reinforce her initial capital. Her activity does not have any main challenges.

Shamwesi would like to support her children's education and to support her family. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to non-bankable small business owners, particularly in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis.
