A loan helped a member to buy foodstuffs.

02_Ilao Group's story

Created in July 2019, this group consists of women living in the same village who maintain good relations: they are mainly active in trade and agriculture.

Mari is 56 and married with two children (a daughter and a son): she stands on the right in the photo, with her hand raised, and is the group representative.

She is active in trade and has extensive experience in the sector: she runs a stall in her village, where she sells products that she goes to town to buy.

She plans to buy foodstuffs (sugar, tea, palm oil etc.) and other wholesale products that she will then sell with a good profit margin.

With the profits generated by the business she plans to strengthen her savings, but also to take charge of her children's schooling.

In this group: Khady Saboudou, Khadidiatou, Hawa, Toulaye, Mari Ousmane, Aïssatou Benté, Oussaye, Rougui, Aïssatou, Aïssatou, Diénabou, Aïssatou, Fatoumata, Salimatou, Diénabou, Hawa, Diénabou, Mariama, Hassanatou, Hawa, Fatoumata, Diaraou, Habi, Roubiyatou, Absatou, Mai, Hawa, Mariama, Mari
