Charlie comes from a long line of self-reliant farmers. Charlie's family grew most of their own food when he was growing up in Bellefontaine Ohio, they had a "truck farm” type operation and managed to keep themselves fed; all 12 kids and the parents. Charlie worked for several years as a toolmaker prior to joining the Army.
During his time in the Army, Charlie became an electronics specialist working with radio antennas and computers. He worked many years in the computer industry and as a systems administrator in 2011.
Charlie along with his wife Judy begin farming their 40-acre farm in Manchester Mi. In 2012. They started doing limited Farmers Markets and enjoy helping others find good quality vegetables; Judy Passed away in Aug 2018 and I have since relocated to Lake county Ohio and leased a HoopHouse and a few acres of good farmland. I am looking to focus on what does well and expand our hoop house operations so we can be profitable.
Due to health issues, we have to depend on part-time help to operate the farm and markets and plan to hire local people to continue our adventures to come.

We are a small Family Operated Produce Farm. We provide High quality Fresh local grown Produce to our market customers and CSA members In Lake county Ohio Our Leased is for farm land and Hoop in Madison Ohio.
We strive to provide our clients with the best quality products we can grow and produce. If we would not put it on our family's table why would we ask you to put it on your family's table? We also subscribe to the policy that we always want to be fair in our pricing and actions. We donate most of the products we can not sell to local food banks.
My love for farming has driven me to continue farming after relocating I wish to give something to the community.
What is the purpose of this loan?
In order to expand the business and be profitable repairs on existing infrastructure, the Refer and Hoop House needs to cover repaired/replaced and refer needs serviced the addition of 6 more Hydroponic Systems will allow us to meet market needs and expand to proving product to local Businesses increasing profits as well as allowing us to operate year-round. By allowing us to have high-quality Organic Produce 12 months a year will increase margins by 75%

What does "Partner covers currency loss" mean & how could it affect my Kiva loans?
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.

Lending Partners are responsible for screening borrowers, disbursing loans, posting borrowers to the Kiva website for funding, collecting repayments and otherwise administering Kiva loans on the ground to borrowers.
For direct loans, borrowers apply through the Kiva website and may or may not be endorsed by a Trustee. Unlike Lending Partners, Trustees don't handle any financial transactions or have any duty to repay loans on behalf of their borrowers.
