Sonia, 41, is a single mother and has always helped her five children get ahead. Eight years ago she started selling seasonal fruits, soft drinks, cut fruits such as pineapple, sandilla, sapotes, plantain chips, cakes. In the mornings she sells in the market as a street vendor and in the afternoons at her house. She has a small table outside her house to offer her products.
In addition, she is a farmer, she has a small farm where she grows corn and sells it.
She requests her loan through Kiva to implement her soft drink and fruit business. She wants to put a kiosk at the front of her house and be able to tend to her clients.
She considers herself a hard-working woman and is eager to keep moving forward.
