A loan helped to buy animals and feed to rear them.

María Fernanda's story

María is a 34-year-old woman who lives in the city of Ibarra with her mother and sister. María earns a living working as a tax collector in a private company, looking for the way to improve her living conditions. She has also earned a living rearing chickens independently for more than 2 years.

María knows that boosting her independent work will enable her to generate more income for her nuclear family and so cover their needs. María understands that to be able to increase her business income she needs to increase her production, buying animals and feed so that this develops. For this reason, she is asking for a loan.

María is grateful to Kiva, as with their help she will be able to improve her income and contribute more to her family's finances.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Donna Davison.
