A loan helped to build a room for bathing and a household latrine.

Heab's story

Heab, age 30, lives with her husband and two single children in Pursat province, Cambodia. In order to generate income to cover the household expenses, Heab and her husband manage a business growing and harvesting rice, both for sustenance and sale. Her children assist her in the everyday farming work. So far, she has not had any problems that keep her from continuing her work.

Due to the shortage of her finances, Heab has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 4,000,000 to build a room for bathing and a household latrine. With this loan support, Heab can provide her family members with a suitable household latrine, and improve the family's sanitation and hygiene. She also can save some money to support the family's needs.

In the future, Heab aims to increase her agribusiness by expanding the land for farming and to push her children to continue studying at university.

Heab sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help poor people like her to focus on ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.
