A loan helped to buy compost and pay for day's wages for two hectares of land.

Daniel's story

Daniel is 69-years-old. He lives with his steady partner and their daughter. Their home is small and everyone works in agriculture harvesting coffee and raising small animals. Daniel lives in his own home made of rustic materials in Mariscal Castilla, a district of the Chachapoyas Province in Peru. Him and his family live in communion with the other members of the hamlet called San Ignacio District.

Daniel has worked for many years in agriculture. He has been in production for two years and has six years of experience with the catimor variety of coffee. He also works raising small animals and, to be the breadwinner of the family, he also does work in agriculture as a day laborer. He has experience harvesting coffee, which he sells in San Ignacio to merchants in the area.

He desires this loan in order to buy compost and pay daily wages for two hectares. He will also buy other agricultural consumables that will help him increase his yield, given that he hopes that the price of coffee will improve this year. This investment will help him improve his income and improve his quality of life and that of his family.
