A loan helped .

Zhe's story

When I decided to play violin in the fourth grade I fell in love with music. I was encouraged by my play cousin Michelle to play violin. At that time I wanted to do everything she did. I would spend my summers in the living room on the piano and playing the violin all day. I would read and play music, play music and read. I was obsessed.

My elementary school friends and I often reminisce about how I carried a huge violin case with me where ever I went in elementary school.

However I was afraid to pursue music professionally, however music is what fed me when I generated $500,000 per year in recurring revenue for a small digital marketing company in Novi, Michigan that refused to pay me a living wage. I led the marketing and fulfillment teams at this company, but I was on food stamps. During this tremendous time of lack I just put my head down and worked really hard. I would play my violin for weddings and private events to supplement my income.

Today I am bootstrapping my music, I am not on food stamps, but I am a single mom to a 4 year old precious baby boy who requires a lot. I am working as the Program Coordinator for WEBA, however I know I need a little help to make my musical dreams a reality. My dream for my future is to continue to do music and marketing and be able to have a bright future for my son. As a marketing professional I have realized the power of music beyond entertainment. I weave music through my company TSQ and created a theme song for my company and plan on rolling out music composition services out to the public.
