A loan helped a member to purchase wholesale rice, noodles and oil.

23 De Noviembre Group's story

The 23 De Noviembre group, as part of the Agencia Los Andes, is made up of eight members who are friends and neighbors in the area. It is run by a board where Carmen is the president.

The loan that they will take out will benefit the small business owners group, of which Carmen is a member. She currently has a business selling food, and she learned this trade many years ago.

The loan that she will now take out will be to increase her profits. She will purchase wholesale rice, noodles and oil that she will get from the major vendors in Ciudad de La Paz before making and selling her food.

This type of work allows her to earn an income to support her family financially, as she is single and has four children. Her dream is to expand her business to improve her quality of life.

In this group: Paola Andrea, Alvaro, Carmen Exaltacion, Luisa Eugenia, Yohanna Gabriela, Estefani Esther, Raquel Rita, Angelica
