A loan helped a member to buy maize seeds and fertilizer.

Boubakar's Group's story

Boubakar is pictured standing between the two farmers who are holding horses, with a blue turban around his neck and a myAgro 'pocket' in his hand. He is a member of a group of 6 farmers who work and live in Sounougouba-koura, a village to the east of Bamako on the Segou road. Boubakar is 65 and lives in a family of 31, including 7 children. He thinks that farming is a safe and stable way to earn a living. He decided to join myAgro for the farming techniques and yield they provide. For his first year with myAgro, Boubakar is going to buy a bag of maize seeds and fertilizer for the maize crop he is growing on his 0.5 hectare field. With this purchase, Boubakar hopes to be able to increase his yield and thus be able to feed his family well and buy a seed drill from myAgro.
