Gladis Esperanza's story

Gladis is a single mother who lives with her children. She lacks economic aid from her parents and works very hard to be able to advance her children. Gladis' source of income is preparing and selling snacks, including small pastries, enchiladas, soft drinks, etc. Her business has existed for five years. During the day she is works during two time periods; the first from 6:00 am to 11:00 am, and the second from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Gladis is requesting a loan to purchase corn, vegetables, spices, cooking oil, etc. With these ingredients she will be able to continue preparing and selling her snacks. Gladis also wants to buy agricultural inputs for her own corn field. In this way, she will have a more competitive business and her sales and income will improve.
