Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 40-year-old Battu from the Blama Road branch. She is a married businesswoman with five children between the ages of 4 and 23 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.
Battu runs a retail business and sells fish and pepper to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 18 years. Battu says that she has no challenges.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more fish and pepper to increase her business. Battu says that the extra income from this loan will help to support her children.
In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
