Diokere Endam Sinthiang Kaba Group's story

Ms. FATOUMATA is the president of the group “DIOKERE ENDAM SINTHIANG KABA” meaning “Solidarity of Sinthiang Kaba” in the Peulh language. She is married, 40 years old, and the mother of three children; one of them, a 10-year-old, is in school, and the other two are aged 2 and 6. In the photo, she is the one holding the goat’s tether. She is uneducated and has been active in livestock farming, just like the other group members.

She has good experience in this business for having done it for sixteen years. The group is composed of 18 energetic women in solidarity. They maintain good ties.

She buys her goats and sheep at the weekly markets in her town and in the subregion. She has a profitable business enabling her to generate a monthly profit varying from 15,000 to 25,000 francs CFA.

Thanks to her business earnings, she manages to support her husband in covering family expenses, such as school fees, healthcare, food, etc. Loans enable her to purchase new animals to expand her farm.

In this group: Fatoumata, Ansarou, Niafou, Meta, Demo, Diary, Adama Hawa, Adama, Hassanatou, Assette, Dabel, Koba, Ousseynatou, Goundo, Mariama, Tening, Fatoumata, Aissatou
