Kanchaim's story

This wonderful woman is Kanchaim. She is 36 years old and married. All her children are grown. She has a high school education and she is compassionate and friendly. Since 2000, she has been farming and raising livestock, which has provided the main source of income for her family. Thanks to Kanchaim's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, she now has a cow, 25 sheep, a horse and 8 hectares of irrigated land, where she grows organic beans.

She has a contract to supply organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agricultural business. She has learned that at Bai Tushum Bank, under its Chain of Added Value program, she could get a loan secured by a contract for future milk supply. She has applied for a loan of 200,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows, so she can increase her milk sales. Payments for the milk from the dairy factory will be deposited directly into Kanchaim's bank account and the loan payments will be automatically deducted from it. The proceeds from the loan will help her to continue to develop the farm.
