A loan of $5,000 helped a small, veteran-owned massage company expand and grow.
Baltimore, MD, United States
Massage therapy became a part of my life after leaving the USCG and working for a private aircraft company. The stress levels and pain my body went through showed me that there are many people having the same experience. I felt empty not being in a service role and made the leap of faith in August 2012. After receiving my very first massage and feeling extremely better, I knew massage therapy was my calling. I realized I had a talent for it when even as a student, clients requested me specifically. This was my way of building something for myself instead of working for a large corporation that limited my potential and refused to value true healing and wellness for both clients and therapists.
