01_Ngoudiane Dior Group's story
This group made up of seven women comes from the "Banc Villageois" which has existed since July 2014; they live in the same village and share solid ties of friendship and solidarity. They are all active in commerce. They have always repaid their loans on time.
Madame Marème, who is 34 years old, is the group's representative, to the right of the photo with hand upraised. She is married and mother to five children, three of whom are boys, and four of whom attend school.
Madame Marème's business is aviculture; she makes her purchases from suppliers in town and runs her business at her home where she has her chicken coop. She has been doing this for eleven years and has good experience in the sector. In parallel, she sells ice and fruit juice.
With her loan, she will buy 200 chicks and 16 sacks of bird food, as well as pay for the vaccinations and the labor to maintain the chicken coop. Her business works well, as she has clients.
Her profits allow her to meet her small needs, to strengthen her business and to increase her savings.
