A loan of $3,150 helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business.

'Ana's story

'Ana still manages her tapa making business well. Tapa is a patterned cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree.

She is now 47 years old, and she and her family live in their own home. Every Friday 'Ana joins a group of women in the village to make tapas. Together they make different types and sizes of tapas, design them and then sell them mainly to her overseas customers. She also has local customers.

'Ana has been in this business for many years now, and her family witnesses the benefits they receive from this business. She hopes to use this loan money to purchase mulberry for her tapa making and use the rest for the finishing touches of their new house.
