Rebecca's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Rebecca's Group's story

Pictured above is Rebecca, who, as a group leader, is representing her group formed by 15 farmers in Teso District, Kenya. She is married and is a mother to four children. Rebecca is known by her community as a very friendly person.

Initially, Rebecca joined One Acre Fund in 2012 because she wanted to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Since she joined the program she says that her life has improved, especially because she has learned a lot from farming training. With the profits from the coming harvesting season, Rebecca plans to send her children to school.

Between the 15 farmers in Rebecca's Group, a total of 9 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan.
