Badani's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the requisite materials for her business, such as colored thread, fabrics, ribbons, glitter, and glue, in bulk.

Badani's Group's story

Badani is a widow standing to the right hand side in the photograph. She is an elderly lady who often remains ill due to her old age. She has an unmarried daughter living with her who takes care of her.

To make a living, Badani is engaged in making embroideries in fabrics, curtains, pillow covers, and handkerchiefs. She learnt this art from her mother from her childhood, but she turned this into her profession after her husband passed away ten years back. Badani is known in her community for her fine arts and beautiful embroidery.

Badani, along with her group member, is requesting a loan amount of 30,000 INR from Kiva's partner People's Forum. She will use her portion of the loan amount to purchase the requisite materials for her business, such as colored thread, fabrics, ribbons, glitter, and glue, in bulk so as to expand her business and increase the outreach to her customers. This will finally result in her increased income.

Badani is in dire need of your generous help and support.
