Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for potato seedlings and fertilizers, and labor.

Elizabeth's story

This is Elizabeth, who is married to one husband and has three children. Her main business activity is farming together with her husband, and in addition she has a retail shop. The profits she gets help her to pay school fees for her children and add stock to her shop.

She will use the KIVA loan to buy seedlings to plant potatoes, hire extra labor and purchase fertilizers. Her main challenge faced is transporting her produce to the the market. From the output, Elizabeth sells the harvested potatoes in Subukia market and gives employment to casual laborers from her village.

Her hopes and dreams are that her children will complete their education and be successful. She also hopes one day to be able to become a large-scale farmer by expanding her lands one day.

She encourages people to engage in farming and says that one needs commitment and sacrifice to succeed in farming and for it to be profitable.
