Kagono Farmers Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a calf that will increase milk production; hence, increase her income to provide food and clothing for her family as well as pay school fees for her children.

Kagono Farmers Group's story

The lady raising her hand in the photo is Judy. She is 32 years old and the mother of two children. She is a member of Kagono Farmers Group, which joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in the year 2014 to benefit from enterprise development and financial management training.

She does dairy farming. She is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy a calf. She hopes this will increase her milk production and hence increase her income. She will use the anticipated income to provide food and clothing for her family as well as pay school fees for her children.

She is grateful to Kiva and their lenders for their support and promises to pay promptly.
