A loan helped to expand her horticulture farm.

Anastasia's story

Anastasia is 52 years old, married, and has been blessed with a beautiful family. She is a farmer from Nkuguru village, situated in the central province of Kenya. She is dedicated to her work and only thinks about going forward and delivering good produce. She knows that many people consume her produce, and because of this, she is determined that her produce be of good quality.

Anastasia lives on a small piece of land where she keeps cows and grows a wide variety of crops, which she has been doing for 10 years. Her primary sources of income are milk and horticultural produce. Her biggest challenges are disease and the shortage of farm inputs. Farmers in the area lack capital to purchase farm inputs, such as medicines to prevent disease. Anastasia joined Juhudi Kilimo in order to access loans that would help her improve her farming activities. Anastasia is requesting a loan, which she will use to expand her horticulture farm. This loan will enable her to expand her operations to increase the output. The additional income from the expansion will go toward her children's education. With this loan, Anastasia's children will acquire quality education.

During this festive season support a smallholder farmer by granting her a loan!
