Maryori Yanitza's story

Marjori is 24 years old and single. She is the daughter of hardworking parents who live on the outskirts of the city. Her father works in security and her mother is a homemaker. She has a brother who works as an electrician and supports his parents.

Maryori studied computer technology in high school, and thereafter began studying dentistry in the university. Currently she has taken 33 classes. In order to meet her professional goal she had to leave her home and move to another city. She lives with her aunt who supports her with some of her housing and food costs.

The qualities that define Maryori are perseverance, optimism, joy and respect. These were infused in her by her parents from a very young age. Her motivation is to be able to achieve many goals once she finishes her university degree. One of these is to be a source of pride and an example for her parents and her younger brother.

Once she completes her education, Maryori wants to contribute to improve the living conditions of her family and in her country, by providing a service to safeguard health, a service that many people need today. Marjori states that from a very young age her favorite toys were related to medicine, as she always dreamed of being a doctor. Today she is on the verge of accomplishing her goal, thanks to God and the support of her family who have motivated her to reach this point. She adds that her plans are to be able to support her parents and siblings, to continue with her studies, and to specialize in maxillofacial surgery. She really likes helping others. For that reason she would also like to be able to have a foundation where she can help people with limited resources.
