A loan helped To buy quantities of wool and pay part of her daughter's tuition.

Yusra's story

Born in 1961, Yusra, a Lebanese woman, prepares knitted clothes and accessories and sells them in the Chouf region where she lives. She is married and her husband works in a printing company in the area. They have two kids who are both doing very well at school.

For the first time, Yusra is asking for a 1,543,658 Lebanese pounds loan from Kiva partner Ibdaa. In fact, she needs to buy a certain quantity of wool that is required to finalize her production before winter. She will also be using part of the loan to cover her daughter's tuition fee before the end of the year.

She has been knitting for more than 20 years and she also prepares homemade food during her free time and sells it for extra income.

Yusra believes that by getting that loan she will be able to increase her sales and income, and thus it will be possible to help her daughter in paying her university fees. She is a hardworking woman, doing her best to ensure the best living conditions possible for her family and helping her husband in the housing expenses. Her main focus right now is helping her daughter complete her studies.
