Grace's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to fulfill her customers' demands for sugar, bread, rice, corn flour and other such grocery items.

Grace's story

Grace is a businesswoman who owns a supplies company as well as a supermarket in Kyebando in Kawempa District, a division of Kampala in Uganda. Her supermarket has just opened, and she finds she has so many customers that she is unable to keep up with demand.

Grace is short on capital, and so she has applied for a 5,000,000 UGX loan through Kiva's field partner Ugafode Microfinance. After carrying out an appraisal and assessment of her business, Ugafode has agreed to finance this loan. Fulfillment of it will mean an increase in sales and a boost in her profits during the holiday season.
